PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE

The purpose of the limiting valve is to reduce the air pressure supplied to the front brakes during moderate brake applications. Because there is usually more loads on the rear wheels of a truck compared to the front wheels, the front wheels have more tendency to lock up during a brake application, the limiting valve reduces this tendency

These valves are also used to reduce the supply pressure to other auxiliary Equipment.
